I've told myself that a lot before. School was pretty much my 'life'...I know, how inconvenient, right? But then I got involved in an 'Air Cadet' thing I guess you could call it, I got promoted in a group to second command and have lots of 'responsibilities'. So now I'd say I have a 'life' because I'm involved in different things with more people then just myself and my imaginary friends...(Oops, sorry guys xD I forgot you wanted to remain secret...)...ANYWAY, but really I'm starting to think I'm so busy that I actually DON'T have a life. Odd, huh? But then if you take it the other way, I may be quitting a couple things and getting a job. Money in my pocket and bank account WOULD definitely be nice...then I could start paying for things and actually 'have' a life. Of course if I get a job, and being the hard worker that I am, I might not actually have a 'life'.
Interesting in contrast, isn't it? I guess you could say, that in order to have a 'life', you must lose it. Whoa...that sounds Biblical, doesn't it? John 11: 25-26 says: Jesus said to her, "I am the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever Believes in ME, though he die, yet he shall live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?"
I really love the paradox in that: Though he die, yet he shall live. We must die to ourselves, and live in Christ to live. It's a very interesting thing to think about indeed.

Hmn... What started as a sort of rant thing turned into something quite beautiful and intereting. Nice job. :) Anyway, I guess it's all your perspective really. Take this verse (Matthew 10:39) for instance (warning: I'm about to take this slightly out of context): "He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it." Maybe in finding one 'life' you lose another.
I really wanted to refer to Matthew 10:39, but I couldn't remember the reference. That's sort of correct, but maybe you have to think of it differently. It's like if we think we 'find' our lives, because you know, people do that all the time...they find that they want to do this or that, but they only build up everything for themselves, lose sight of the picture...and then they 'lose' their 'life'. But if we lose our life (the actual thing or the 'old life' before we were converted into Christ) we gain and find the true 'life'.
Haha... That's what searching is for, silly. If you can find a verse by the reference than you can find a reference by the verse. ;) Anyway, well said. I guess you just have to know what's good for you, and that means listening to God tell you what's good for you. Hmn... Very true.
Okay, you two. How about these verses: "There are many plans in a man's heart, Nevertheless the Lord's counsel--that will stand...The fear of the Lord leads to life, and he who has it will abide in satisfaction" (Proverbs 19:21,23a)
I think that about sums it up. Besides, whether you're busy or not, it will always be a life because you have to live it.

heh, well put, Karyn. :D I just love thinking about weird questions to answer...and then further complicating it to make it more interesting to see people's responses. That's just how my friend group rolls. Simpleness is for simpletons...(Or in our case, smart people, but we'd rather be crazy :D).
